It's a Whole New World (with Young Living Oils and Norwex)

Now that my weight is well on its way I am now searching to make my actual health and house and happier and healthier place in this chemical world. I lucked out when Norwex had a great deal for new members and just immediately fell in love with the idea of chemical free cleaning! I am the BIGGEST bleach and paper towel fan out there... I scoffed at the idea when I heard about only using water to clean- Yeah Right! But I went to the party thinking I might like the dusting rag... well needless to say after listening to the presentation my husband wanted everything in the catalog. I have loved every minute of cleaning and cleaned so much more because its so simple, you don't spend most of your cleaning day running up and downstairs since you forgot the windex upstairs while your paper towels are downstairs in the basement....stressful I know. I love having 4 rags to clean my entire house with not a chemical in sight- NOT ONE! I have eveen been trying their laundry detergent and even though I stopped using bleach in my whites they smell just as clean and are white but obviously not as white(yet still very white) since I have refrained from bleach...pretty impressive. Norwex.biz

And now for the oils- I have fallen in love all over again. A friend at church introduced me to YL by offering me a sample of lavender and mentioned it was great for allergies. I was terribly excited because my dear husband has terrible allergies and knew this was going to be a great experiment for our family. So the next day his allergies pipped up after dealing with loads of dust. He had been sneezing non-stop. I had him use 1 drop and swipe it on the inside of his cheek and within SECONDS he told me he had no urge to sneeze.....this guy has been on allergy medicine all his life- Allegra every day!!! He has used lavender daily and allergy season means nothing to him now. I then thought about pricing- a pack of allegra is $20, for I believe 24 pieces. A Lavender 15 ml is $30 which has almost 300 drops....way less pricey and SO incredibly healthier. After attending the oils class it was such an eye opener as to all the medications people use when they could be simply solved with natural oils. There is an oil for everything---EVERYTHING....amazing! So now I'm hooked and so excited to share this with others to help others get off unnessecary medication.

Anti Candida cleanse Week 3

My menu for this week needed to have a little more flavor than last week.... Maddie and I almost broke down and ate a piece of delish looking chocolate cake.
Maddie and I are both down NINE pounds in TWO weeks!! That's motivation for both of us.
We still eat 3-5 eggs with an avocado for breakfast and for lunch salad with either last night's meat or sautéd veggies.
Most of the recipes are from Better Home and Gardens Eat Well Lose Weight just taking out one or two ingredients to make it 100% anti candida free!
Here are the dinners:
Grilled steak fajitas without the tortillas.
Stuffed zucchini( Maarten's recipe)
French onion chicken
Chicken kabobs
Lime marinated chicken
Steak salad with raspberries
Lemon chicken
Hamburgers

Maybe this is just the answer

Great Anti Candida Recipes

Found this wonderful looking website with tasty foods. She mostly substitutes white flour with almond or coconut flour. Looks great!

Anti Candida Week 2- A Few Anti-Candida meals

Week 2 has been MUCH better and actually doable! I found having the berries were a lifesaver, I'm not sure I'd still be on the diet if it weren't for them. I am feeling a little tired and actually more symptoms of candida but Bizzy told me there is a low before a high, so I'm waiting for that. As of  July 18th I was down 5lbs which was super!
Here are are couple of meals I've made which were a success.

Baked eggplant for Friday
I sliced the eggplant (would slice them much thicker next time) soaked them in olive oil added thyme, basil, s&p, and baked them for about 20 minutes. I added salsa for extra taste
 Lemon Basil chicken
lemon juice, olive oil, basil, s&p, baked for 40 mins
LOL Sunday, yes we ate guacamole for our "dinner snack"
3 avocados, 1 small tomato, lime, s&p, 1/4 onion, and a tad of garlic salt
This was Maarten's wonderful concoction zucchini stuffed with ground beef
Michael loved this! I just lifted up the skin and added salsa and baked it

Trying this out!

I found this cleaning schedule which I think will really help me. I get overwhelmed when my house is a wreck but it seems like this schedule will evenly distribute the work throughout the week.

Thank you Pinterest!

I will let you girls know how it goes!
